  I have been a client of Oxana at Action Accounting. She is very reliable and proactive in providing useful advice and helped fix my offshore bookkeepers mess in Xero. I would recommend Oxana to anyone wanting a trustworthy knowledgeable Accountant who knows Australian Tax Laws and is professional & helpful when trying to get refunds.

  4/10: I used Matt from Action Accounting to do my tax return and for the first time ever I owed the tax man some $$ (despite my tax return usually fetching me $500 - $1000 for previous years with almost identical earnings/expenses). I earned $60000 and paid $12000 tax. At first Matt calculated my tax return and I was in the green however when I mentioned I had an outstanding HECS debt the figures were adjusted and I now owe a bit of money :( I asked if Matt claimed up to $300 for work-related expenses however he said no because it looked suspicious to the ATO if everyone does this (I had receipts totalling $260 too but I thought they weren't needed unless I claimed over $300, guess I know for next time). On the positive side though Matt was very professional and knowledgeable and explained the whole process to me which I am very grateful for. He charged me $360 for his service because he had to spent 1.5 hrs working out my return (his rate is $240/hr). A bit excessive but at least I can claim this on next years return, though I won't be going back to Action Accounting.
